Bringing the music of the generations to life.

I fell in love with music while listening to my parent’s record collections.

As a child in the early 70s, my family lived in places that had little access to current music, so I fell in love with music while listening to my parent’s record collections. Between my Mom’s 45 collection and my Dad’s album collection, I had access to everything from Fats Domino to Mozart, Benny Goodman to Odetta, the Kingston Trio to Herp Alpert. I fondly remember stacking multiple records on the record player and just letting it run for hours at a time.

I started playing drums…and then guitar.

In the late 70s my family moved to the Baltimore area and I was exposed to current popular music in many different styles that were new to me. I got a set of drums for my 15th birthday and haven’t stopped playing since.

After countless hours playing drums in bands and in church, in 2003 I developed an irresistible desire to pick up the guitar. I soon found myself singing and playing guitar at church, and my love for strumming and singing along has only increased over the passing years.

Now I am sharing my love of musical performance with senior communities.

My wife, Laura, worked at Sunrise Senior Living in Gilbert, Arizona for a while, and our family made a tradition of caroling to the residents on Christmas Day. After moving to Sunrise in Scottsdale, she suggested I learn some songs to perform for the residents there. After a couple of dates at Sunrise Senior Center in Scottsdale to favorable reviews, I decided it was time to branch out to other communities. I would love to come and perform for your residents, so please contact me to book a date!

Our older generations have experienced some amazing movements in musical history and deserve a well-rounded performance that covers as many different genres as possible.

I perform songs like…

Blueberry Hill

I Walk the Line

Jamaica Farewell

Testimonial

Bart has played for the Senior population at our community with great success. His selection of music is right with the residents time and era. Bart keeps the attention span of a Memory Neighborhood which is quite an accomplishment. I highly recommend Bart David as a musical entertainer.
